Back to the serious subjects again...! Now I think I am 99.9% sure I know the answer to this but DP won't have it soooooooooooo....if we get our permanent residence through the PNP route does it hold us to stay in BC for a certain number of years?
Thanks in advance for all the help that is sure to come my way!

Yes!!!!
Being granted PR under the PNP route is the same as any other way........................we came out via PNP, initially on TWP but received out PR last year and 'landed' on New Years Eve.
Providing you maintain your PR status as required by CIC you can stay here as long as you want or you can move anywhere else in Canada!!!!!!!!! I have heard some stories that if you moved out of Province immediately after PR is granted that questions could be asked, but who is really going to try and keep track.

So if we get our PNP through BC more or less once it is granted we can relocate to another province? I thought it was part of your PNP "agreement" as such that you stay in this province for a few years - otherwise what advantage do they have in giving you the PNP in the first place?

We are just weighing things up at the moment - we didn't personally choose to come to Kelowna it kind of chose us! We were always looking at Central or Eastern Canada - so we are just looking at what is what before we get caught up in the PNP application. I really love it here - its just whether here can offer us what we need long term.

I kind of agree with that - but you really need to be quite loaded money wise to live here and my DH working himself into the ground wasn't why we moved over here!

I have just read through our PNP Certificate and there isn't anything thay actaully states that you have to stay in BC, but, the only thing to bear in mind is that there is quite a bit that the employers has to do for the PNP scheme, if you where then to gain PNP & PR as a result leave soon after for a different Province the company that has sponsered you could go to the Ministry and tell them. This could result in the Ministry reporting this to CIC would could then revoke your PR status.
I think the above is a real 'extreme' senario, but if you are thinking of movng on in a good few years that I wouldn't think it would matter.
Is your line of work on the NOC lists???
