The Pier Pub off Campbell Road, just across the bridge in Westside.... was destroyed by a fire last night.

I can still remember when the Grass Shack was in that spot many years ago. A Westside landmark now gone....

Yep, saw it smouldering this morning at 7.15 and still smouldering this afternoon. There's not much left that's for sure.

Pretty sad deal! .... vaguely remember a visit to the pub when I first came over for a Recce back in Mar 2002, so can't honestly remember too much about the look & feel of it.
